William Paterson University (Wayne, NJ)

Associate Director, The Educational Opportunity Fund Program

Strategic leader for a comprehensive academic success and retention program supporting over 400 first-generation and low-income college students annually. Oversee a $700K+ departmental budget and manage an 8-person cross-functional team while designing equity-centered initiatives that integrate academic advising, leadership development, emotional wellness, and cultural identity. Lead major efforts including a six-week Residential Summer Bridge Program, year-round identity-based collectives for BIPOC students, and a trauma-informed training framework for staff and student leaders. Spearhead recruitment and admissions processes for 1,400+ applicants annually, manage student crises through restorative and inclusive practices, and maintain university-wide partnerships to align policy and programming. Recognized for implementing a KPI-driven student success model that achieved an 82.6% retention rate, surpassing institutional goals and driving meaningful student outcomes.

 

Adjunct Faculty

  • Community and Power: Introduction to Social Justice Studies

Designed and facilitated an interdisciplinary course exploring how communities resist and navigate systemic injustices through case studies on healthcare, housing, education, labor, the environment, and policing. Care Manager, Partnership for Children of Essex (Bloomfield, NJ)
